Steelhead Featherwing Flies
|
| Featherwing flies are commonly used in Pacific Northwest waters where steelhead are present. Most flies trace their
roots to Classic Atlantic Salmon flies, but many were creations of talented PNW tiers. Using feathers from various birds (Mallard Duck, Turkey, Golden Pheasant and others),
tiers found that these materials made excellent wings with great color and interesting designs and markings. |
