Steelhead Hairwing Flies
|
| Hairwing flies are a standard for Pacific Northwest waters where steelhead are present. They are adaptations of
East Coast and European Atlantic Salmon flies. Using hair from various animals (bucktails, fox, skunk, squirrel and others), PNW tiers found that these commonly
located materials made excellent wings with lots of action and flow. |
